Taiwan’s requirements for medical devices are clearly stipulated in Article 24 of the Medical Device Management Act. Medical devices and their sellers announced by the central competent authority should establish an excellent transportation and sales system for medical devices in terms of product storage, transportation, services, personnel, and other related operational matters. This configuration shall be standardized and shall comply with the Good Distribution Practice.

 

Medical device sellers must establish a good distribution system (GDP) for medical devices in accordance with regulations and must pass inspection by the central competent authority and obtain a distribution license before they can wholesale, import or export.
